Every year, millions of students in Pakistan wait for their matric (9th/10th) and intermediate (11th/12th) results. Each Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) announces results on its own schedule, but the methods to check them are the same everywhere.

Method 1: Check on Your Board’s Official Website (by Roll Number)
This is the fastest and most reliable method.
- Go to your board’s official website (search your board’s name and open the official domain — beware of lookalike sites).
- Find the “Results” section on the homepage.
- Select your exam (e.g. 10th Class Annual, 12th Class Annual).
- Enter your roll number exactly as printed on your roll number slip.
- Submit and view your result. Save or print a copy for your records.
Tip: Board websites slow down heavily in the first hours after a result announcement. If the page does not load, wait and retry — or use the SMS method below.
Method 2: Check by SMS
Each board announces its own SMS code for results:
- Find the official SMS code published by your board for the current result (it is printed in the board’s result announcement and on its website).
- Type your roll number in an SMS.
- Send it to your board’s code.
- You will receive your result by reply SMS.
Warning: SMS codes can change between sessions. Never use a code forwarded on WhatsApp without confirming it on the board’s official announcement — wrong codes waste your balance and give no result.
Method 3: Result Gazette
The gazette is the board’s official printed result record:
- Available at the board office and usually at your school/college.
- Useful when the website is down or you need to verify a result formally.
- Schools generally receive gazettes and can confirm any student’s result from them.
What to Do After the Result
- Passed: Collect your result card from your school, and keep your roll number slip safe — you will need both for admissions.
- Compartment / supply: Check the supplementary exam schedule on your board’s website and apply within the announced window.
- Unexpected marks: Consider rechecking (below).
Rechecking / Re-totaling — How It Works
If you believe there is a totaling error in your marks:
- Check your board’s rechecking announcement — there is a limited window after each result, and late applications are not accepted.
- Apply through the method your board specifies (online form or bank challan + form).
- Pay the per-paper fee announced by the board for that session (the fee differs by board — check the official notification, not old figures).
- The board re-totals your paper and updates the result if an error is found.
Note: rechecking re-totals marks; it is not a full re-marking of the paper in most boards.
⚠️ Important Warnings
- Only use your board’s official website. Fake “result check” sites collect roll numbers and personal data — some are phishing traps.
- Nobody can “increase your marks for a fee.” Anyone offering result changes on WhatsApp or Facebook is a scammer. Report them.
- Do not pay any website for “early result access” — results are published by boards on their announced date and time.
